Yamaha DCFIIISAPRO, DISKLAVIER PRO
Concert Grand
This piano is one of a kind! It was used by ZENPH Studios to rerecord live albums by Glenn Gould, Art Tatum, Gershwin and more! It was hand-picked by piano experts for this task, then painstakingly cared for by Yamaha Piano Technicians who helped recreate the sound of Glenn Gould's piano or Art Tatum's piano. It was then shipped to the venues where those artists had performed to use ZENPH technology to rerecord the performances. Listen to Bradford Marsallis among others describe the process, while listening to this piano play! The International E-Piano Competition in Minneapolis, MN has become a major event for aspiring pianists around the world. This piano was the one used for the finals of the very first competition in 2002. The finalists' performances were recorded using this piano and are still available here. Without a doubt, this is the finest concert grand made by Yamaha at the time. With the incorporation of the Disklavier Pro system, it allows for virtuosic playback (as a high-res player piano) but also for high-definition recording! With new Yamaha DCFXENPRO concert grand pianos listing at $220,000.00, this piano is a great value! It comes with a custom-made flight case, but also with software, adaptors, and a very highly-prized set of replacement hammers and shanks! These are not just any hammers and shanks! They are a full, unused set of the exact hammers required for this special piano! This piano has not only been "played" by Glenn Gould, Art Tatum, Gershwin and more, but it also took part in Grammy Award nominated re-recordings of their performances, available through Sony. It has been kept in pristine condition. Yamaha was representing itself with this piano, and took care of it like none other! The original control unit has been upgraded to a DKC850 and can be operated with an app from your phone! It can play PianoRadio, record, play-back, and connect for Remote Lessons all with the use of the free app. Silent Piano is one of the features of this instrument as well! Comes with headphones. Make an appointment to play a unique and amazing instrument! Or hear it play for you!

Steinway & Sons, Model L, Satin Ebony, "Gap Mangione"
This is an excellent piano in original condition. It has been in two different homes, moderately used, and meticulously cared for. The touch is responsive and well-balanced. The tone is warm and clear at the same time. There is the required power in the bass and the singing range is just that! As a point of reference, the Steinway Model O, which is the same size as the Model L and has replaced it in the Steinway line-up, is currently listing new at $103,500.00. This piano is a joy to play, and lovely to behold. It also has an interesting back-story. The first half of its life, this piano belonged to Gap Mangione, the brother of the more-famous Chuck Mangione. Chuck played fluegelhorn, but Gap is a pianist! This was his piano, he used it for recordings, and signed it. The signature is in impeccable condition! The piano comes with the required Jansen Adjustable Bench, which is also in like-new condition.

Steinway & Sons Vintage Upright Piano
After a thorough restoration in the 1970s, including a beautiful refinishing job, action refurbishing and restringing, this piano has remained in the same family for the last 50 years. Baldwin Model L Grand Piano
This piano was a gift from husband to wife. It was presented when the number of her birthdays and number of their wedding anniversaries added up to 88 - the number of keys on a piano! He had been saving since day one! You do the math! The Baldwin L is a wonderful piano. It was one of the top pianos sold by Lindor-Ward pianos in Duluth. The lovely wife was a piano teacher, and many students learned how to play using this instrument. It has been meticulously maintained, has a bold, powerful sound, an even action, and is just waiting for someone to appreciate it! The piano holds tune very well. The matching bench is in good shape with only a couple of dings, and nary a scratch, which is very unusual, especially considering how often the piano was played. Boesendorfer Baby Grand, Mahogany,
A true piece of history, this piano was one of the last Boesendorfers to make it out of Vienna before the Anschluss in 1938. It has had some refurbishing done over the years, would benefit from more, but there are some wonderful qualities here. The key tops are immaculate! A joy to play! The hammer wear is minimal, probably newer hammers. The tone is warm as one would expect from a Boesendorfer. The cabinet is in ok shape. The original adjustable bench is extraordinary! With a little TLC, this could be a stunning instrument. The price reflects the condition. Should the condition be improved, it will be worth a lot more! Make an appointment to check it out!

1878, Restored 1989
Weber Parlor Grand, Mahogany
The Weber piano company started in the USA in 1852, predating Steinway by 5 years. They had the reputation for building excellent instruments. This piano is a great example of that excellence! It is a parlor grand, 6.5' long, with a mahogany finish. The ornate legs and pedal lyre, as well as the beautifully ornate music desk are a sign of the time it was built. https://www.onthisday.com/date/1878 In 1878, Thomas Edison received his patent for the phonograph! George M. Cohan was born in 1878. Gilbert and Sullivan premiered the "H.M.S. Pinafore" in 1878! The piano was restored in 1989. The restoration included refinishing and restringing, a refurbishing of the action, new hammers, etc. The soundboard is ok, the tuning stability is ok. The sound is clear and attractive, not edgy, not muddy. The bass still has a nice roundness, and the treble is bell-like. The action is responsive, not heavy. The stool has storage under the seat. There is a Dampp-Chaser humidity system installed, which should help keep the instrument viable for years to come. There is some sun bleaching, but it is not especially noticeable. For someone who wants a beautiful vintage piano, this is a great opportunity!

1986
Samick Grand Piano, Polished Ebony
This is a one owner piano in excellent condition! At 6'1", this piano has plenty of oomph in the bass, a nice singing treble, not an over-bright sound, but a nicely balanced sound throughout. The action is firm, not loose, but the playability is fine. Samick built pianos in South Korea in 1986, and they went to some trouble to make a good one! This company is still in business making pianos, an argument that they are doing something right! Currently, a similar Samick produced in Indonesia costs $25,000.00! This is a bargain, and it has stood the test of time! The tuning stability is fine. The sound board is intact. The cabinet shows some evidence of wear, but for a 36 year old piano, it is in remarkable condition. The hammer wear is negligible. The owner played but played lightly. The owner also went to some trouble to keep the piano in good condition. A registered piano technician tended and tuned this piano regularly. This is a real find, and won't last long on the showroom floor. Make an appointment to try it out!

The outside finish was cleaned and buffed, and the original brass looks like new. No other change was deemed necessary! It is stunning! The original key tops are in stupendous condition! What an amazing touch! A new Steinway of this size costs around $110,000! This is essentially a new piano, with some allowance for its age and character. Benches
Getting the right piano bench height can make all the difference! The Hidrau Model, or HM, have been manufacturing some of the finest piano benches in Europe for years. Now available in the U.S.A., these contemporary style benches are quickly becoming sought after for their clean and elegant design, sturdy and dependable construction, and luxurious comfort. With this design, height adjustments are quick and easy by controlling a lever. There are no knobs that stick out, no complex mechanism to service, no linkage that causes the bench to wobble or rock over time. The function is silent, no squeaking! This bench is as long (26") as other premium artists benches. They are perfect for teaching studios where each student needs a different height. At a modest 32 lbs, they are sturdy but not nearly as heavy as the most commonly used adjustable benches with little wheels on the sides! The height adjustment goes from 17.75" to 23", which is a two inch increase in range over the common and more expensive standard Adjustable Artist Bench. The increased flexibility in height is most noticeable on the top end- they can sit higher!
